Not leaving anyone in my family behind

achievements

Hi, I am Diosdada. I have been a consistent customer of Western Union for 8 and 1/2 years now. With western union as my pipeline in transmitting money to the Philippines, I haven't experienced any hassles. What I really appreciate with their service is my money arrives in seconds only. By profession, I am a social worker. My whole family is now in the United States of America. Back home in the Philippines, I helped my relatives through college.. I have sent 5 relatives to college and 3 of them have already graduated, obtained their professional licenses and have landed jobs. My great achievement is I made their world a better place to live in. I have also initiated a foundation for our clan which aims to establish a scholarship fund for deserving relatives so that we can slowly uplift the lives of our other family members. One thing also, I extend immediate assistance to friends and neighbors who are in dire need of help in times of grief and sorrow, and hospitalization. If there is somebody to be given praise and honor, it will be my husband and my 2 sons for having big hearts and for understanding the things that I am doing. Western Union continues to extend the good service all the time without hassles. I can proudly say "YES!" to Western Union. Also, I was able to convince 25 friends to avail of the services of Western Union and they too are now regular customers of Western Union. I can proudly say "YES! YES! YES!" Other money transfer agencies and offices are trying to convince me to switch to their service but I refused because I already have my Western Union, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.

biography

I was born into a middle class family of farmers in Northern Mindanao. My father, who was a widower, supported me and my two siblings. I remember myself selling tuba to barrio sari sari stores during the weekend so that I had an allowance while I was going to high school in the next town. Through my father's hard work and my own, I was able to finish social work and quickly landed a job. I got married, moved to a small city and started a family with my husband and two sons. For as long as I can remember, it has been an unspoken agreement within my family that whoever is in a better condition helps other relatives in need. Relatives who went to high school or college usually stayed with us as my hometown was far from colleges and universities. I have been connected with government and private agencies, working as social worker and project coordinators for underdeveloped rural areas, my work often took me to far communities and I had to work away from my family. I have also worked with various projects involving street children and out of school youth such as youth homes and mobile school projects. My work has become ingrained in my family life as I continue to help m other relatives with their needs whenever I can. I finally migrated to the US seeking a better future for my family. My great fortune also extended to the rest of my relatives.
